Local employer Monnow Site Services (MSS) have agreed a two year kit sponsorship deal for Raglan’s Under 12’s, as the team enters its first competitive season.

With teams now stretching from Tots all the way to Under 17’s in both girls and mixed categories Raglan Junior Football Club is growing year on year, which meant that when the company, which is based near Raglan and supplies portable and temporary buildings and refurbishment services nationwide, was looking for a grassroots football team to support, Raglan Football Club was a natural fit.

Rob Matthews from MSS, which has almost 50 years of experience in the industry to call on, said the company was “proud to be a local business supporting the local community.

“We are in a privileged position, to be able to support the next generation within our community by promoting local sports.

“To this end, we are proud to be sponsoring the Raglan Junior Football Club”.

“We wish everyone at the club the best of luck and look forward to supporting them.”

Coach Simon Roberts said “We are delighted to get this deal over the line.

“It’s been a joy to see this team grow together since we started at Under 6 and now enter the Monmouthshire league.

“As a growing club we are very grateful for all the support we get from the local businesses who want to be a part of the team which keeps the club, and most importantly the young players, supported.

“I would like to thank Monnow Site Services and welcome them as part of Raglan JFC.”

In addition to match-day kit the Under 12’s will also be able to look the part in training, as Monmouth based E.C.S. has also stepped forward to pay for training kit.

E.C.S. works alongside portable accommodation companies like Monnow in the installation of temporary buildings such as classrooms and site offices.

Company owner Ian Roberts said: “Although we work on projects of all sizes right across the UK, our roots are firmly in Monmouthshire, and so we’re delighted to be able to make sure our local players will be able to go into the new season in the best shape possible.”

Raglan Junior Football Club has teams in almost all ages from tots up.

The club is always on the lookout for more players, sponsors and volunteers.
