Family affair for Raglan under 7’s

Raglan have always been a family-friendly club but the under 7’s are officially a family affair now, with Matthew Burkitt pledging his company’s support to cousin Aled’s team.

Candour Talent started on Matthew’s kitchen desk in 2016, but has since expanded across four south Wales locations offering a specialist recruitment service for local and national clients. Whether it’s retail or manufacturing, food and drink or the automotive industry, the company’s mission is simple: to match businesses with the perfect candidates, prioritising honesty, transparency, and efficiency in all interactions.

Matt explained the link up with Raglan: “The company HQ is a short commute away, and having moved to this area with my family, I want to do what I can to get involved in the community and give something back.

“Football is in my blood, my son plays for the team and Aled is the manager, so sponsoring the team was a no-brainer (and I wouldn’t have heard the end of it if I hadn’t!).”

The Under 7’s are a mixed team, offering all boys and girls the chance to try football for the first time.

The club now has teams stretching from Tots all the way to Under-17’s.

Growing all the time, this year has already seen the boys of the Under 14’s crowned the divisional champions, with the Under 12’s coming joint top of their division in their first competitive season.

Meanwhile there are girls’ teams all the way from Under 9 to Under 17, with the ambition of creating a senior ladies’ team for the first time next season.
