And with that the Raglan JFC season for 2023/2024 is over. As always a huge thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, supporters, players and referees for their support over this year. In a year with unprecedented rainfall we were still able to play matches, all played in the spirit Raglan is know for with some amazing skill and determination!
We have had a year with league success for our u14s, new divisions, new players and teams. Some of our youngest players got to play their first games, while our older players tested their abilities against strong opponents!

Things to look forward to next year include looking to start Raglans first women’s team, starting a new U6s team, fundraising for solar panels, welcoming our fifth competitive team (next years u12s) and more clubhouse and ground improvements.

We are also looking to strengthen our coaching team with new coaches for our under 9 and 10 girls teams, so they can start playing regular Sunday Football. We are also looking for a coach to support our current U14s and will arrange football leaders courses and DBS, plus opportunities with the FAW include Goalkeeper courses, higher licences and more!

Also just a reminder that there is lost property in the clubhouse. Please could we collect it before the end of term, otherwise it will be no donated to charity.

And finally a thank you to our outgoing coaches and committee members who have supported our teams and club over the years. Our club is reliant on volunteers for all aspects of our work and thanks to everyone who attended the AGM, attending a work day or have put their name down to volunteer at our Tournament in a months time.

Our yearly tournament is a great weekend enjoyed by all, but always requires lots support and effort to make sure it turns out perfect. A huge thank you to all the people who have helped so far, or promised their support for the weekend, but if you can help (even if it’s for a few hours) please come to the tournament planning meeting the Wednesday 5th June to meet with the team and see how you can help!
