Dear Players, Coaches, and Parents,
The 2023/24 season was another successful one with more players and teams than ever before, another trophy, a successful tournament and big improvements to our clubhouse and ground.
But now the 2024/25 season is almost upon us, with all the excitement and competition that brings.
**To Our Enthusiastic Players:**
We can’t wait to see your smiling faces and energetic spirits back on the field. This season promises to be full of new challenges, learning opportunities, and, of course, lots of fun. Remember, every practice and game is a chance to improve your skills and enjoy the beautiful game. Let’s bring that same passion and teamwork that made last season so memorable!
**To Our Dedicated Coaches:**
We hope you all had a fantastic summer break, filled with fun, relaxation, and plenty of sunshine. As the new season approaches, we’re looking forward to welcoming you back to the pitch, ready to kick off another exciting year of junior football!
Whether it’s coming up with new drills and strategies, or helping every player to do their best, your commitment and expertise are the foundation of our club’s success.
Thank you for your continued dedication to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for football.

**To Our Supportive Parents:**
Your involvement and encouragement are crucial to our club’s vibrant community. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, helping with transportation, or providing post-game snacks, your support makes a world of difference. We appreciate all that you do and look forward to another season of your invaluable contributions.
Thanks to all of you who gave your time on a cold weekend in January to improve the clubhouse and dig new drainage for the grounds, as well as every single person who helped with the car parking, catering or random jobs that made our annual tournament another big success.
And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who opens up the clubhouse and sells drinks and hot food week in week out.
Due to that support, we’ve decided as a committee not to raise fees for this year.
Our fees for 2024/25 will remain at £100 for the season and £75 for those who don’t have league matches (under 9, 10 & 11s girls and u6s). Fees are payable via Lloyds bank to Raglan Football Club, Account no. 31918062, Sort Code 30-99-50
**Fair Play and Sportsmanship:**
At our club, we believe that football is not just about winning, but also about playing with integrity and respect. This season, we will emphasise the importance of fair play and sportsmanship. We will also be working with our local football authorities and the FAW to improve the quality of match day sessions
**Respect for All:**
Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, and referees with respect at all times. Racism is still prevalent unfortunately in football and Raglan has a zero tolerance policy on racism and racist behaviour. We’ll have more to come on this, including ways everyone can get involved but we will be supporting Wear Red Day on Friday the 18th October 2024 to do our bit to Show Racism the Red Card and Football vs Homophobia to name a few!

**Community**
Raglan JFC has strong ties to our wider community- working with the Sports Association, Scouts & local groups we want to help improve our amazing facilities so everyone can benefit from the opportunity we have. We are also working with the local charity the Gwent Cardiac Rehab Trust Fund to raise funds for the amazing work they do, plus raising awareness of this vital service provided throughout the Gwent area.

Gwent Cardiac Rehab supports the provision of rehabilitation after a heart attack, for heart failure and after cardiac operations https://www.gwentcardiacrehab.org.uk/
As we gear up for the new season, please keep an eye out for important updates on training schedules, match fixtures, and club events via this site or the Facebook page. Let’s make this season even more successful and enjoyable than the last!

Finally, as the club strives to improve its environmental impact a reminder that we have a small selection of pre-worn boots available, in different sizes. Some are in the clubhouse, next to the lost property, to take, though if you have any boots you’ve outgrown you can exchange, that would be greatly appreciated. The club also have boots which have been renovated and repaired available to buy at a discount. Contact Martyn on 07359 023893 for more details.
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead. Welcome back, everyone!
Best wishes, the Raglan JFC Committee
