After several years of talking about starting a men’s team here at Raglan JFC, coaches Rikki Knight and Martyn Dembicki finally took the plunge and it’s safe to say it has paid off!

Both Rikki and Martyn already coach younger age groups within the club and with their own children playing in our junior setup, it was important to them to create that next stepping stone for our young players. Having a men’s team gives our juniors an older team to look up to, as well as something to aspire to as they progress through the club.

The response has been fantastic, with 30 players registered for the men’s team. Some were already playing football, while others have returned to the game after taking some time away. They’ve quickly become a great group of lads and we’re incredibly proud of how they have represented Raglan JFC so far this season. 👏

It’s fantastic to see the club continuing to grow from our youngest players right through to our men’s team and we’re excited to see what the future holds.
